A review article on N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-modified metal nanoclusters, on which our group is focusing, has been published in Journal of the American Chemical Society. Atomically precise metal nanoclusters are attracting attention as a new metallic material that can be handled as molecules, and have been studied intensively around the world in recent years. In this article, we introduce the synthesis, analysis, and functions of metal nanoclusters with NHC ligands.
