We have succeeded in developing an enantiospecific cross-coupling reaction of cyclic alkyl sulfones using a Ni catalyst, and our results have been published in Nature Chemistry.

Since the first report of cross-coupling reactions of sulfones in 1979, there has been no report of successful stereocontrol of products until now, and this research is the first example in the world.
